Grandparents’ Day    by David Pierce

On February the thirteenth it was Grandparents’ Day! Before we went to all our Grannies and Granddads we practiced our songs. We did Connected and /Céad Míle Fáilte Romhat. When we went to the halla to sing my granny was smiling. Then I shared memories with the people there. My friend James had a granny but she couldn’t come so James went with me. My granny went down to my class and saw my work and saw James’ work. Then we went back down to the halla. My granny had tea and scones and I had half a biscuit. Then my granny went home but I gave her a big hug before she went!

Grandparents’ Day    by Alex O’Sullivan Cronin

On Thursday February the 13th we had Grandparents’ Day. It was a lot of fun we did lots of stuff. We sang songs, we went to our classroom and showed our grandparents our classroom. Then we went back to the hall and ate biscuits and scones and drank tea. We were chatting to our grandparents. I hope  all the grandparents had lots of fun .We also did some prayers. We practised  for two days. We were all very excited. We said something that we were thankful for from our grandparents .We wrote about them. We will always cherish this moment from Grandparents Day.
