Sciath Na Scol Final - June 2024 share
Well done to all the girls who represented the school in the recent Siath Na Scol Finals in Pairc Ui Rinn. The girls did themselves and the school proud on the day. Well done everyone and to the supporters as well we say congratulations on a great show. It was a great day out for all the classes from Second to Sixth
Stretch-n-Grow Summer Camps 2024 share
Stretch-n-Grow is a Fun Fitness and Nutrition Education Programme for young children. Delivered weekly in the form of themed fitness adventures and FUN all the way for these action-packed classes which are structured and tailor made to appeal to children’s imaginations. Each class includes all of the components of a fitness class including warm-ups through story, cardio routines, strength training, motor skill development, co-ordination, pre-sport skills, creative and social skills. We use skill specific equipment and music that children will love!!
Our Stretch-n-Grow Summer Camps are suitable for children aged 3 to 7 years. They are multi activity camps which are run in a safe and healthy space by experienced and professional staff who are fully insured, garda vetted and follow the Children’s First Policy. Each week of camp includes fun fitness classes, indoor/outdoor games, arts and crafts, science experiments, obstacle courses, various sports, team building games, sports day, water fun day etc.
Stretch-n-Grow Summer Camps will be running in Scoil Náisiúnta an Chroí Naofa, Glounthaune:
Week 1 – 08th to 12th July 2024
Week 2 – 15th to 19th July 2024
Our Summer Camps run from 10am until 1pm each day. Early drop off is available from 9am at an additional cost.
We have been conducting Stretch-n-Grow classes and running Summer Camps in Scoil Náisiúnta an Chroí Naofa, Glounthaune since 2008. Please contact Nicola Corcoran on 086 8559235 to book a place for your child.
Friendship Week 2023 share
We had a very successful Friendship week in the school during the week of 25th to 29th September. It was a great week of fun filled activities enjoyed by all and many new friends were made and the value of existing friends celebrated. The 2 photos below show two large Art installations made during the week. The children did many more activities in their classrooms also.
Charity Fund Day 2023 share
The school is a hive of fun activity today with the children from 6th class hosting a Charity day to raise money for 2 Charities – Youth Suicide Prevention and Down Syndrome Centre, Cork. There is great fun being had by all ! Thanks for all the support.
Science Demonstration Week 2023 share
We had a great week of exciting Science demonstrations by all students in the school. The children learned a lot about science and also gained the confidence of presenting to their peers in the Halla. Below are just some photos of what was a very successful week in SNCN
Activ8 Fun Camp share
Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are delighted to announce the opening of a brand-new Easter Fun Camp in SNCN this year. Activ8 Fun Camp is being run by three of our staff members: Mr. Eamonn Brosnan, Mr. Seán Kenny & Mr Paul Brophy. Activ8 is open to all children from Junior Infants – 6th class. The camp will run from Monday April 3rd – Friday April 7th.
Places are limited and will operate on a first come – first served basis!

Halloween at SNCN share
We had a spooky last day before Mid-term with a large variety of scary costumes around the school. Well done to everyone for their efforts !
Maths Hats for Maths Week share
We had a very successful Maths Week in the School during October and below are some of the wonderful ‘Maths Hats’ created by some of the children. These hats had a Maths Theme and the children really engaged very well with the topic, the creativity and imagination was brilliant !
